Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Draa Valley – Zagora
Marrakech to Zagora 2 days Morocco desert tour with camel treks. We will pick up you at 08 am at your Hotel/Riad. We will travel to the south of High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m). A spectacular road of red mountains and authentic berber villages. On our arrival to Ait Benhaddou village, we will go for a walk to visit (Kasbah) this ancient berber village. An old village where a list of movie credits was made starting with the first movies “Lawrence of Arabia”, ”Jesus of Nazareth”, ”Gladiator” and the list is still growing. It is also listed in UNESCO as a site of world heritage and national culture in 1987. After the lunch we will drive to Draa Valley crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains and admiring its lunar landscapes. Draa Valley is one of the old caravan roads transporting gold, ivory, and slaves. Marrakech to Zagora will be our final destination with a huge oasis of date palms. Camel rides to your authentic Berber luxury tents at Zagora desert dunes, and after dinner around the campfire there will be some Berber music to the atmosphere.
Day 2 : Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Tizi-n-Tichka – Marrakech
We will be waiting for you when you come back from the Berber camp by camel ride at Zagora desert dunes, and we drive back through the valley of Draa. A great history is in this valley that spreads along the river that has the same name Draa river more than 200 km of palm groves. It is 170 km to reach Ouarzazate. It is a very tranquil and lying back city. Possibility to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt (stronghold fort) represents the Berber architecture and one of the old trade cities in Morocco, known under the name of Hollywood of Morocco because it has a number of cinema studios (ECLA Studio, Atlas corporation). Lunch in the same city and drive back to Marrakech via High Atlas Mountains .
